We have in-office financing with no interest or finance charges of any kind. We generally are also able to complete all your insurance and flexible spending account information for you, so you receive your maximum benefits with minimal effort. For more information regarding any of our financial policies we will be glad to assist you.
Your General Dentist
Dr. Yaillen will work closely with your general dentist to obtain the best result possible for you, with regard to facial and dental esthetics as well as improving your oral health. He will send your dentist a letter following your initial visit to our office, and then a detailed treatment report after your treatment review with us before treatment starts.
We recommend that you continue to be seen at least every six months by your general dentist during your orthodontic treatment. As usual, for his or her use, your dentist may take additional x-rays.
There are generally three steps involved prior to developing the best plan for you and beginning orthodontic treatment:
1. PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION
This initial 30 minute appointment is a complimentary clinical examination to determine your orthodontic needs and review your concerns.
Dr. Yaillen will advise you of any problem, the necessary corrective treatment, and estimate its fee and financial arrangements. We can share with you the latest types of appliances available and give you time to think things over, or if it is more convenient for you, we can usually take diagnostic records the same day. A letter summarizing the findings will be sent to your general dentist.
2. DIAGNOSTIC RECORDS
If treatment is indicated, records will be taken to enable Dr. Yaillen to study the problems and determine corrective procedures. We will take impressions for upper and lower study models, facial and oral digital photographs, and panoramic and cephalometric head x-rays. A panoramic or full mouth x-ray can sometimes be done by your general dentist if it is more convenient for you or covered by your insurance.
After reviewing the records, Dr. Yaillen will discuss the specific problem as well as the plan of treatment. He is available to answer any questions you may have now or at any time later. If the patient is an adult, partners are welcome; if the patient is a minor, both parents and patient are encouraged to attend. Dr. Yaillen will send a personalized letter detailing the treatment plan to your general dentist and any other allied health care providers as needed for your best treatment. When you’re satisfied and comfortable with everything, we’re ready to start treatment to help you smile at life!
Although not common, problems may occasionally occur which need immediate attention. We want to always be available for you, so please call our office at (503)641-9100 for instructions or an after-hours contact number, or you may call your general dentist or a hospital emergency room as necessary. With cell phones, we’re only a phone call away and as close as your purse or pocket!
